An international standard led by MCC has been approved for release

  On August 11, the Central Secretariat of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) released the news that an international standard The Test Method of Permanent Linear Change Rate on Heating of Refractory Slurry (ISO 13765.7), led by China First Metallurgical Wuhan Metallurgical Construction Research Institute, officially passed the approval stage (FDIS) voting and will be officially released and implemented on September 8, 2021. This is not only one of the latest achievements made by MCC in recent years by vigorously promoting international standardization work and strengthening the construction of international standardization innovation base for metallurgical engineering, but also the seventh international standard led by MCC in the field of refractories based on its proprietary intellectual property patent technology, which fully highlights MCC's leading position in the global refractories industry and further enhances the discourse power of international technical rules for MCC to be the world's NO.1 national team of metallurgical construction.

  In recent years, with the active promotion and strong support from the Science and Technology Department of MCC, the National Technical Standards Innovation Base (International Standardization of Metallurgical Engineering) Furnace Project and Refractories Standard Research Institute has been set up with the support of China First Metallurgical Group Co., Ltd., focusing on strengthening the strategic planning and overall layout of international standardization work in related technical fields, which has achieved positive results. The above international standards were successfully established in 2016 and supported and participated by many countries such as the United States, Japan, Germany, the United Kingdom, Australia and Austria. After repeated verification tests, optimization of details, many rounds of domestic and international technical discussions and negotiation, more than a dozen revisions and improvements, and global comparison tests, the international standard was finally successfully approved for publication. The release and implementation of this international standard will effectively solve the technical problems that exist in the test method of permanent linear change rate on heating of refractory slurry at home and abroad, for example, the test block is easy to crack, distortion and deformation sometimes happen, the application value of test data is not strong, and the standard of each country is difficult to be unified, and provide convenience for the international trade in related fields.
